Rosebuds Dance

I got this assignment at the last minute because one of the photographers had to leave early. I was kind of irritated because I didn't really want to take any pictures, but of course I loved the ones that I took.

Okay, so in New York we went to B&H and I bought a pancake lens (aka 24mm) and I love it. It is absolutely perfect for school dances, so I'm really excited to use it for next year and at prom and such.  I kept it open at f/2.8 and had a flash that bounced off the ceiling. 

I'm really happy with this photo and it was one of the ones we entered in TOP for ATPI under photojournalism. I can't wait to shoot another dance now.
