Post Big 72 Production Stills

This wasn't necessarily an assignment, however, I knew that any of the photos I took I could use for contest. I really liked the film noir theme we had going on and I'm still salty that we didn't place first, but it's okay. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Big 72.

Okay, so the first picture is what I entered for our school portfolio. The ISO was 2000 because it was so freaking dark when we were outside. I was using my 85mm so I had to make sure my shutter speed was pretty fast so it wasn't shaky. For the record picture, I wanted the shutter speed a little slower to make the record look smooth. I needed a shutter that would still show the movement but still to where it looked sharp. I had to balance my other settings in order to accomplish what I wanted.

I had a lot of fun at Big 72 this year. Even though I was bummed that we didn't win, I think we kicked  butt and I can't wait until next year!
