6 Weeks Project Self Portrait

For this six weeks, our assignment was to do a self-portrait. I was inspired by a photo that I saw on Instagram. It was of a girl standing and there was a fall tree in the background with a ton of bokeh. I tried to recreate this image. 

I decided to use the 35mm I was using and left it open at 1.4 to have a pretty background. I didn't want my whole face int he photo because it ended up looking a little weird so I just used have off my face. Plus, I hate photos of myself. I put my camera on a tripod and then used my phone as a remote wirelessly. It was pretty easy to do the set up and stuff but it was not easy posing for the camera.

Next time, I'm going to find more flattering angles or something so I will like the photo. I don't think it's that easy to take self portraits. I'm going to find more interesting ideas for my self portrait too.
