Pumpkin Patch Part 2

This was just a little something I did for my parents. Last year, I took pictures of my niece, Eva, at the pumpkin patch so I decided to do so again. The weather was much better than when I took pictures of Alanna. I got better pictures, too.

I decided to use my 85mm like I always do, and kept it in f/1.8 for a nice background. I was a little more focused on what kind of pictures I wanted this time at the pumpkin patch. Plus, Eva is easier to take pictures of because she just haves fun by being there with us and running around like crazy.

I have noticed that its easier to keep toddlers focused if you turn taking pictures into a game. For example, in the last picture she was actually playing catch with my mom using the pumpkin. I think that picture is my favorite, too. It also works if you have her make funny faces to get warmed up for posing and then she will laugh about her funny faces. She's just so darn cute.
