Summer Band Practice
I've been shooting summer band practice lately.

I know this picture isn't something that could be used in the yearbook but for some reason I like it. You can't see his face but the flag just happened to go slightly around his head like that and I thought that it looked kind of neat and artsy.

1/250I like this picture as well because during this time he was twirling the mallets in his hands and it looks like they're about to slip right through his fingers in this.

This is a picture of one of Texas High's drum majors. While everyone is marching, she counts to make sure they're on the beat. I like how the hash mark on the field is kind of like leading lines to her.

I like this picture too because of the face she is making. She was making a silly face at one of the band directors during color guard performance. I later found out that she was embarrassed by this picture and it made me feel bad but I still like it.
Overall, I wish I had a wider angled lens to shoot these with to make it a little easier but I still think most of the pictures I got were okay. I should've been a little more daring while taking these because I was kind of just shooting every now and then to be safe so I didn't get in trouble for not marching.
