NYC Trip
I went to NYC with one of my best friends, Madison. While I was there, I didn't take as many pictures as I should've. However, I got a little bit, and that's what counts right?
Before I actually went to NYC, I flew to Nashville so I could watch Madison perform in this camp she goes to during the summer. When the camp is over, they host a concert of all the songs they prepared that week. She's a singer. I took these pictures with a 50mm which was a mistake because I didn't realize that I was going to be so far away from the stage. I should've brought my 85mm that night. Oh, well, they're better when they are cropped.
Yeah, these pictures are kind of all over the place. I edited them on my phone so I could text them to her. They look better with the stupid speaker cropped out of it. I wish I would've had the guts to get up and walk up closer to take them but then I thought being at that angle below her would be unflattering, and I didn't want to be in the way of the audience's view. At least I learned that this isn't my favorite lens to use for this.
Okay, these are my actual pictures from New York, and they're all pretty rough.
I think both of those are over exposed. I should've paid more attention.
Okay, so in this picture I was trying to get my exposure right, and then right afterwards, a security guard came up to me and told me no pictures were allowed. LOL.
So then once again since I went outside I wanted to check my exposure and this random guy went up and photobombed and we laughed about it.
I just really love bokeh. Who doesn't?
Bokeh. Bokeh. Bokeh.
I thought the theater we were in for Phantom of the Opera was sooo pretty. Also, the broadway is sooo cool. However, once again I brought the 50mm to take this and I didn't even think about changing my aperture. UGH.
I took a picture of Madison and her mom and then afterwards I realized the huge lens flare/glare thing. Awful. Thank goodness I had some pictures where it didn't show up, but it made me aware of the fact that I need a lens hood.
While we were eating on the last day, we sat in front of this pretty fountain. I wish I hadn't cut off the bottom of the ring thing. I also thought it would be cool if I did a slow shutter to make smooth water but I didn't have a tripod and leaning the camera on the table didn't work.
MURICA (THE EXPOSURE IS OFF)
We went into a really pretty cathredral.
Who doesn't love street performersssssssssssss? I was walking when I took this and it was the first try, too. I wish that person wasn't in the bottom left. I should've done some more composition on that.
Overall, I should've gotten way more pictures but I had fun on the trip.
