9/11 Reflection
Today we watched a video about the photographers of 9/11. This video is very powerful. It made me proud of our country just from looking at these pictures and knowing there are people out there who are willing to stretch that far to get those pictures. Like in that video, there were two types of people. First, the people who instinctively picked up their camera to get that shot, or second, the people who just ran and forgot about the camera. It shows how dedicated/passionate people are to journalism/photojournalism. This is going to sound weird-ish or crazy but I would really like to be one of those people who put their selves out there to get a picture, even though I have no "good" experience like Mr. Smith does, or any of the photographers in this video. The pictures they were able to take were MIND BLOWING. Especially that one where all the different rescue people were carrying that man in the chair out of the tower. I think that's the point where it just sunk in and I realized what I was actually watching. I knew what I was watching, but I didn't really SEE what I was watching if that makes sense. The photographers and photojournalist were affected greatly. I believe that it's WAY different from us seeing it on a screen for example, rather than actually being there and being able to have the chance to create those pictures when and how they did. It will probably be something that they will never be able to erase from their memory. (not that they would want to anyways, because this is something important and will never ever ever ever be forgotten)
